My Road To Success – Buckle Up And Enjoy The Ride!
If you have read my about page, you’ll have a little background on me. If not, go check it out for a little more backstory. With this post, I’d like to share how I’m progressing.
What triggered this new journey to success in another field, you ask?
Being newly married, thinking of a family, and realizing that my goals are shifting, I crave change. I want to enjoy traveling the world with my husband and looking towards the future.
I have reached a place in life where my top priorities are:
1. Being a wife
2. Being a mom someday (fingers crossed)
3. Spending time with our fur babies… including our yellow lab, Boomer, and horses, Winston and Peanuts.
What Needs To Change?
With this shift, I am finding it apparent that there needs to be some change… for my sanity, for my husband, and to enjoy the things I love so dearly.
An amazing opportunity embarking on another road to success presented itself, so I took a leap to see what the future may hold. Here I am… taking this amazing opportunity to create my empire, working with like-minded people who are striving for that financial freedom and lifestyle flexibility that allows them to have no limits doing what they believe in and love.
On the road to success…
Oftentimes, when we embark on a new journey, we see people who have already “made it” and think to ourselves that we want what they have. While this is understandable, very rarely does anyone talk about the sweat, tears, mishaps, failures, and everything that took to achieve their success.
In this blog series, I aim to take you on my journey with some of the trials and tribulations, as well as some of the milestones and celebrations. If there was no reward, we wouldn’t be doing this… right?
The first thing that we often go through is knowing exactly what we think we want and how it should work.
Being a few months in, here are a few things you can expect on your road to success.
1. You have an idea that things should go the way you expect. News flash… oftentimes, there will be some major tweaking needed, if not a total change in course. This is to be expected because as you start implementing things, you realize some things work and some things don’t.
2. You question what you were thinking.
This is completely normal. I believe you have to go through this to really show how serious you are about being an entrepreneur and refining your dream. Those individuals that have grit, persevere and push through to achieve their goals.
3. You’ll go through phases. One day everything may be clear, and the next you may ask yourself, “how do I make any of these things work?!?” I will never forget this happening to me when I was certain I knew exactly the path I needed to follow one evening. After a night’s sleep, the following day, the clarity was gone and I was right back to being uncertain about which direction to go in.
All of these emotions are completely normal on your road to success!
They are actually necessary to find where your niche is and where you are most likely to flourish and succeed. It can be scary, exciting, and overwhelming all at the same time.
Two things that have really helped me on my road to success.
1. Give yourself one or two things you need to complete before moving on to something else. Juggling too many tasks at once is never a good idea and can often lead to incomplete work.
2. All good things take time and hard work. We live in a world of instant gratification. You must, and I repeat YOU MUST, remember that being an entrepreneur and building something of quality takes time. “It takes time” is something that none of us like to hear, but it is a necessary part of the bigger picture. Oftentimes people fail because they are not willing to push through and stay persistent.
“I never want to look back and regret not spending the time I have with loved ones and doing the things that fulfill me.” msamybell
